Dedication, Devotion, and Desire
At DiSarcina Baseball Academy, you learn from people who have played the
game at the highest level. All of our camps are staffed by experienced, professional and skilled baseball players
and teachers. Each camp is well coordinated and scheduled so that each and every player gets the most out of their work with
us.
DiSarcina Baseball Academy was established in June 2003 by former
major leaguer Gary DiSarcina and former minor leaguer Glenn DiSarcina. Its goal is to teach the game of baseball to
the children of Massachusetts. Upon Gary's retirement in 2002 the organiziation began to come together. With the
help of several corporate sponsors, we were extremely pleased to hold our inaugural clinic in our hometown of Billerica
on August 23rd, 2003. We had tremendous turnout and feedback that will springboard us into the upcoming season. As
DiSarcina Baseball continues to mature and grow, we look forward to providing professional instruction to our new
and returning players.

Gary graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 1984, where he was a
teammate of Tom Glavine on the 1983 State Championship team. He went on to UMass, Amherst before signing with the California
Angels in 1988. Drafted in the 6th round, he made his Major League
debut in September of 1989. From 1992-2000 he was the Angels opening day shortstop. Career highlights include: 1992 Angels Rookie of the Year, 1995 American League All-Star and 1998 Angels Team M.V.P. and Owner's Trophy winner. He

Gary was known as a player that came to play every day and always gave 100%.
Whether it was moving the runner over, getting the bunt down, or making the routine play he was always thinking about the
team before himself. That type of attitude and devotion is why he is still highly respected amongst current and former
players, coaches, and executives.

Glenn graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 1988. He received
All Conference honors in both baseball and basketball his junior and senior years. While at the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst from 1988-1991 he was a 3 year starter at Shortstop, before leaving early to sign with the Chicago White Sox.
A 14th round pick, he earned Midwest League's Best Infield Arm in 1992, and
was the MVP of his Florida State League team in 1993. His 1993 was highlighted by making the Florida State League All
Star team, and tagging Roger Clemens for a double in a Spring Training game. In 1994, Glenn was a teammate of Michael Jordan on the Birmingham Barons, the AA affiliate of the White Sox. He also played for current Red Sox
manager Terry Francona for 3 years in the White Sox minor league system. After playing for the AAA Nashville Sounds
in 1997, Glenn retired from baseball due to a nerve injury in his throwing shoulder.
During his playing days Glenn got to play and learn from some of the most
notable athletes of our time, including: Michael Jordan - who was voted the Athlete of the Century, Bo Jackson- the most
dynamic two-sport athlete of his time, and Carlton Fisk - a Hall of Fame catcher who hit the most memorable homerun in Red
Sox history. Playing along side these athletes, and many more has given Glenn the experience and know how to teach the
game of baseball.
